Digital wedding invitation, Singapore:
e-invites with RSVP and WhatsApp, compared.

October 202610 min readThe Private Wedding App
Quick answer

For a Singapore wedding, the most complete digital invitation in 2026 is The Private Wedding App: one e-invite link with an RSVP that collects meals, allergies and plus-ones, a separate RSVP for the ROM, the tea ceremony and the banquet with a private link per guest group, a per-guest WhatsApp button that sends that guest's link pre-typed, the invitation in Chinese, Malay or Tamil as each guest chooses, a PayNow QR on the gifts page, and a seating plan for tables of ten filled from the replies. It costs S$24.99/month or S$249 once, lifetime. 3-day free trial. The local free options each stop earlier on their own pages: SummerVows is free with meals and seating but states no per-event RSVP, languages or ang bao; BananaInvite's free plan stops at 20 guests; ChungDoi shows languages side by side and has no seating chart; Canva's page states no RSVP.

In Singapore the wedding invitation travels on WhatsApp. Couples send a link or an image, guests reply in the chat, and someone ends up copying "yes, 2 pax, 1 vegetarian" into a spreadsheet at midnight. A digital wedding invitation with a real RSVP fixes that, but the options differ on the things that matter here: whether the reply carries the meal choice, whether the ROM, the tea ceremony and the banquet can be answered separately, whether grandparents can read it in Chinese, and where the ang bao goes. I read each option's own pages on October 15, 2026 and set them side by side.

A note on method: every competitor fact below comes from that platform's own pages, read on October 15, 2026, and listed in the note under the table. "Not stated" means I did not find it on their pages, not that it is impossible. I compared each one on what a Singapore wedding asks of an invitation: price in S$, RSVP with meals, seating for tables of ten, a separate answer for the ROM, the tea ceremony and the banquet, the languages guests read, WhatsApp, and ang bao.

Review 01SummerVows

SummerVowsFree and built in Singapore, with one RSVP for the whole wedding

SummerVows presents itself as a free all-in-one platform for Singapore couples: an RSVP page with meal preferences, dietary needs and named plus-ones, a drag-and-drop table planner with Excel export, a budget with a banquet ++ calculator, and a checklist pre-loaded with guo da li, ROM filing and tea ceremony tasks.

What its pages do not state is the part a three-part wedding needs most: a separate RSVP for the ROM, the tea ceremony and the banquet, with different guests invited to each. Guest languages, ang bao or PayNow, and WhatsApp sending are not stated either.

Works well
  • +Free, no premium tier
  • +Meals, dietary needs and plus-ones
  • +Local checklist and ++ calculator
Falls short
  • −Per-event RSVP not stated
  • −Chinese, Malay or Tamil invitation not stated
  • −Ang bao or PayNow not stated

Review 02BananaInvite

BananaInviteAnimated e-invites with WhatsApp sharing, free up to 20 guests

BananaInvite, a Singapore company, makes animated invitations designed "with Asian aesthetics in mind", shared with "One-Click WhatsApp Share". Its dashboard tracks meals and plus-ones with an Excel export, and its pricing page lists a seating chart tool.

The free plan has a 20-guest limit. The Standard plan, for up to 150 guests, is listed at S$19 per event after a launch period and is free until then. Multiple events, guest languages, gifts and budget are not stated.

Works well
  • +Animated invitation designs
  • +WhatsApp sharing
  • +Standard plan free during launch
Falls short
  • −Free plan capped at 20 guests
  • −150 guests on Standard
  • −Multiple events and languages not stated

Review 03Save This Date

Save This DateWhatsApp RSVP by message credits, not a wedding planner

Save This Date is a general event RSVP service. Its paid plans send RSVP requests by WhatsApp or SMS from a message allowance: 25 $ for 100 WhatsApp messages, 67 $ for 250, and 29 $ for 250 text messages, with the currency not named. Every plan includes seating arrangement and a way to record the gifts guests gave.

Meal choice, languages and multiple events are not stated on its page.

Works well
  • +RSVP collected over WhatsApp
  • +Seating arrangement included
Falls short
  • −Paid by message allowance
  • −Meal choice not stated
  • −Currency not named

Review 04ChungDoi

ChungDoiMultilingual invitations shown side by side, without seating

ChungDoi builds online invitations in 18 languages, including simplified and traditional Chinese and Malay, displayed "in multiple languages at once" with side-by-side content. It is free to build and test for three days with up to 20 guests, then US$24.99 once for the first invitation. Guests RSVP with plus-ones and custom questions, and a Gift Box shows a bank transfer QR code.

It has no seating chart, only guest grouping by family or table. Tamil is not in its language list, and Singapore is not mentioned.

Works well
  • +Chinese and Malay supported
  • +Gift QR code
  • +One-time price
Falls short
  • −No seating chart
  • −Languages shown together, not chosen per guest
  • −Tamil not listed

Review 05Canva

CanvaA design tool for the card, not for the replies

Canva's wedding invitation maker is free, with templates, your own photos and a drag-and-drop editor. You print through Canva Print or share the design by email or on social media, and you can build a separate wedding website.

Its invitation page does not state an RSVP. In Singapore a Canva card usually travels as an image on WhatsApp, and the replies come back in the chat.

Works well
  • +Free, large template library
  • +Print delivered
Falls short
  • −RSVP not stated
  • −Replies end up in chats
  • −Meals, seating, events not stated

Built for the three-part wedding
The Private
Wedding App

The Private Wedding App is a full wedding planning platform with the invitation at its centre: a cinematic e-invite on one private link, an RSVP with meals, allergies and plus-ones, the guest list, a seating plan, a budget in S$, a checklist and an AI planning assistant, all on one guest list.

For Singapore it does the three things the free options leave out. The ROM, the tea ceremony and the banquet are separate events with their own RSVP and their own headcount, and each guest group gets a private link showing only its events. The invitation can be read in up to three languages, including Chinese, Malay and Tamil, and each guest picks theirs when they open it. And the Gifts page can carry your PayNow QR code, so guests give straight from their bank, with no fee.

WhatsApp stays the channel. Each guest row has a WhatsApp button that opens a chat with your own message and that guest's link pre-typed, and a sending mode ticks off who you have reached. You send from your own WhatsApp: WhatsApp does not let any app bulk-send from a personal number.

VerdictWhich app should you use?

It depends on what you're optimising for:

If your wedding has a ROM, a tea ceremony and a banquet with different guests at each, The Private Wedding App gives each part its own RSVP and each guest group its own link.

If your grandparents read Chinese, Malay or Tamil, the multilingual invitation lets each guest open it in their own language, rather than reading two languages crowded on one page.

If your guests reply on WhatsApp, the WhatsApp sending tools put each guest's link in a pre-typed message, and their answers land in the guest list, not the chat.

Start the free trial, build the invitation and send it to yourself on WhatsApp first; stay at S$24.99/month or pay S$249 once for lifetime access.

01What a Singapore e-invite has to handle

Most e-invite tools are built for one event and one guest list. A Singapore wedding has a ROM with close family, a tea ceremony with elders, and a banquet for everyone, often on the same day. Guests reply on WhatsApp, elders may prefer Chinese, Malay or Tamil, and the hotel wants the final count in tables of ten. The checklist below is what The Private Wedding App does for each of those, and you can see all of it on the free trial.

See the digital wedding invitation for the designs and the guest experience.

  • One private link, editable after sending, no reprint
  • A separate yes or no for the ROM, the tea ceremony and the banquet
  • A private link per guest group, sent by the WhatsApp button
  • Meal choice and allergies, halal and vegetarian included
  • Plus-ones, or a fixed number of seats per invitation
  • Chinese, Malay or Tamil, chosen by each guest
  • Optional reminder emails before your reply-by date
  • PayNow QR on the gifts page, no fee

02Sending it on WhatsApp, and getting answers back

Send the link, not an image: an image cannot take an RSVP, and every change means a new image. In the guest list, each row has a WhatsApp button that opens WhatsApp with your own message and that guest's link already typed, so the guest recognises you and taps straight through. "Start sending" opens a list of everyone you still need to reach, ticks guests off as you send and lets you stop and continue later.

When a guest answers in the chat anyway ("see you there, 2 pax"), you change their status on their row by hand in two taps. The full method, with message templates, is in how to send wedding invitations on WhatsApp.

The WhatsApp invitation tools put your message and each guest's link in one tap.

03Your next step

Build the invitation on the free trial, add your three events, create two guest groups and send yourself both links on WhatsApp to see what each circle sees. Then decide: S$24.99 a month until the wedding, or S$249 once for lifetime access. See the plans in S$.

See it for yourself.

Explore the whole platform: cinematic invitation, RSVP with meals and allergies, guest list, seating chart, budget, vendors, checklist, moodboard, photo sharing and the AI planner. No account needed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best digital wedding invitation in Singapore?

For a wedding with a ROM, a tea ceremony and a banquet, The Private Wedding App: a separate RSVP per event with a link per guest group, meals and allergies, Chinese, Malay or Tamil per guest, a WhatsApp button per guest, a PayNow QR on the gifts page and a seating plan for tables of ten, for S$24.99/month or S$249 once, lifetime. 3-day free trial. SummerVows is free with meals and seating but states no per-event RSVP or languages; BananaInvite's free plan stops at 20 guests.

Is a WhatsApp e-invite acceptable for elders in Singapore?

Generally yes, especially when it is easy to read. Send it personally rather than to a group, and let elders open it in Chinese, Malay or Tamil. Some couples still print a few cards for grandparents; The Private Wedding App's printable QR card links them to the same invitation.

How do we collect RSVPs when guests reply on WhatsApp and never fill the form?

Send each guest their own link from the per-guest WhatsApp button so the reply is one tap away, set a reply-by date, and switch on reminder emails for pending guests with an email. When someone answers in the chat, change their status on their row by hand.

Can an e-invite take a separate RSVP for the ROM, tea ceremony and banquet?

Yes, in The Private Wedding App: each part is an event with its own answer, and invite groups decide who sees which. On the pages I checked on October 15, 2026, SummerVows, BananaInvite, Save This Date, ChungDoi and Canva do not state per-event RSVP.

Is there a free digital wedding invitation with RSVP in Singapore?

Yes. SummerVows states it is 100% free with RSVP, meals and seating, and BananaInvite has a free plan for up to 20 guests. The Private Wedding App is paid, S$24.99/month or S$249 once, and adds per-event RSVP, Chinese, Malay and Tamil invitations, PayNow gifts and the full planner.

When should we send wedding e-invites in Singapore?

About 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding, with a reply-by date 3 to 4 weeks before, so the hotel gets its final count with two weeks to spare, per SingaporeBrides etiquette.

Can the e-invite send itself to all our guests on WhatsApp?

No app can bulk-send from a personal WhatsApp number. The Private Wedding App opens a pre-typed message per guest and tracks who you have sent to; for saved contacts, a WhatsApp broadcast list with the group link also works.

Can guests give ang bao through the e-invite?

On The Private Wedding App, yes: you upload your PayNow QR code on a card on the gifts page and guests pay you directly from their banking app, with no fee. ChungDoi's Gift Box shows a bank transfer QR; the other options do not state gifts.
