Comparison 2026

The best Bangladeshi wedding invitation
with RSVP for every event.

October 202610 min readThe Private Wedding App
Quick answer

The best Bangladeshi wedding invitation with RSVP in 2026 is The Private Wedding App (£17.99/month or £159 once for lifetime access, $19.99/month or $189 in the US): one private invitation link holds the gaye holud, nikah, walima and reception, guests answer each event separately with their party size and meals, and each guest group gets its own link that shows only the events they are invited to, so walima-only guests never see the holud. Canva and Celebrare make beautiful card images and videos but their sites mention no RSVP; Paperless Post, Joy and Bridebook collect RSVPs but none of them mention Bengali. 3-day free trial.

A British-Bangladeshi wedding is rarely one event. There is the mehndi night and the gaye holud for close family and cousins, the nikah (akht) at home or at the mosque, the walima, and very often a big reception at a banqueting hall in East London, Luton, Birmingham or Oldham, with several hundred guests. The invitations still mostly travel as a card image on WhatsApp, and the counting happens in your mum's head. This comparison asks six options the same question: can one invitation cover every event, collect a separate answer for each, and give your elders something they can read?

How I compared: every price and feature below was read on the product's own pages on 16 October 2026 (Canva blocked automated checks that day, so its facts come from my checks of canva.com on 14 and 15 October 2026). When a page does not mention a feature, the table says "Not stated" rather than guessing. And each option was judged on the whole Bangladeshi wedding week, not one card: does it collect answers, can guests answer the holud and the walima separately, and does it give elders who read Bengali something to read?

Checked 16 October 2026 on each product's own pages: celebrare.in (wedding cards by tradition including Bengali and Muslim, video invites, app with 10 lakh+ downloads; no RSVP or prices on the home page), paperlesspost.com/pricing (per guest per event: Free $0, Basic $0.50, Premium $1.05, All Access $1.44; "RSVP Tracking" on Premium; Paperless Pro $250 a year for 250 guests; page language English (US), prices in USD only), withjoy.com (free website and "powerful and free Smart RSVP") and Joy's help article "Setting up your website for guests in multiple languages" ("Joy supports a limited set of languages for its interface", your own text can be copied once with "Duplicate and Translate", RSVP pages cannot be duplicated; Bengali not mentioned), bridebook.com/uk (guest list and RSVPs, budget, checklist, website, "Start today, it's free"; no seating chart or languages mentioned) and bridebook.com/uk/wedding-website ("100% free", RSVPs sent by email, details of several wedding events). Canva: canva.com refused automated checks on 16 October; facts from my checks of 14 and 15 October 2026 (templates, PNG, JPG or PDF download, sharing on social media or email, free plan and paid Pro; no RSVP mentioned). Hitched was left out because its site refused automated checks. "Not stated" means the product's own pages do not say, not that the feature is missing. Prices change, so check before you buy.

Review 01Canva

CanvaLovely card, but it is a picture

Canva is where many couples design their card: huge template library, easy editor, works on a phone. You download a PNG, JPG or PDF and send it on WhatsApp, or print it.

Then the work starts. A Canva card is a still image, and Canva's pages mention no way to collect RSVPs, so every "inshallah we'll come" lands in a different chat. If the hall or the time changes, the old picture keeps being forwarded around the family groups.

Works well
  • +Huge free template library
  • +Easy editor
  • +Good print files
Falls short
  • −No RSVP
  • −No guest list, seating or budget
  • −Every change means a new image

Review 02Celebrare

CelebrareBengali-style designs and video invites, no RSVP mentioned

Celebrare is a popular Indian invitation app. Its home page sorts wedding cards by tradition, including Bengali and Muslim, offers video invites, and says the app has 10 lakh+ downloads.

Its home page does not mention RSVPs, a guest list or prices. You get a beautiful card or video; the count of who is coming to the walima still lives somewhere else.

Works well
  • +Bengali wedding card category
  • +Video invitations
  • +Phone app
Falls short
  • −RSVP not stated
  • −Guest list not stated
  • −No prices on the home page

Review 03Paperless Post

Paperless PostCollects RSVPs, priced per guest, in English

Paperless Post sends online cards with RSVP tracking on its Premium tier. Pricing is per guest per event: Free $0, Basic $0.50, Premium $1.05, All Access $1.44, or Paperless Pro at $250 a year for 250 guests.

For a Bangladeshi wedding with three or four events and a few hundred guests, per-guest, per-event pricing adds up quickly, and the pricing page shows English (US) and US dollars only.

Works well
  • +RSVP tracking
  • +Polished designs
  • +Free tier for small events
Falls short
  • −Per guest, per event pricing
  • −Bengali not stated
  • −No seating or budget

Review 04Joy

JoyFree website and RSVP, languages handled page by page

Joy gives you a free wedding website and a free Smart RSVP where you can add your own questions.

For a second language, Joy's help article says its interface supports a limited set of languages, you tag guests by language, and your own text is translated once with "Duplicate and Translate", which does not update when the original changes; RSVP pages cannot be duplicated. Bengali is not mentioned.

Works well
  • +Free website
  • +Free Smart RSVP
  • +Custom questions
Falls short
  • −Bengali not stated
  • −One-time translation copies
  • −Seating and budget not on its home page

Review 05Bridebook

BridebookThe UK's free planner, website and RSVP included

Bridebook is free and UK-focused: guest list and RSVPs, budget, checklist, a 100% free wedding website, plus venue and supplier search. You can send RSVPs by email and describe several wedding events on the website.

Its pages do not mention a seating chart, a separate answer per event, or any language other than English, so a holud-only answer and a walima-only answer, and a Bengali reading for your nani, are left to you.

Works well
  • +Free
  • +Guest list, RSVP and budget together
  • +Venue and supplier search
Falls short
  • −Seating chart not stated
  • −Separate RSVP per event not stated
  • −Languages not stated

The Private Wedding App

Or £159 once, lifetime · $19.99/month or $189 in the US · unlimited guests

The Private Wedding App turns the invitation into a private link: an opening animation, your names and date, the schedule with a tab per day, every venue with a map, and the RSVP inside it. Guests say yes or no, how many are coming (adults, children and infants counted separately), their meal and any allergy, and the answer lands straight in your guest list.

Each event is its own RSVP: mehndi, gaye holud, nikah, walima, reception. Family gets a link with every event, friends a link with the holud and the reception, colleagues a link with only the walima, and each sees only their own events and times. Every event gets its own head count and its own seating plan.

Bengali is one of the 26 guest languages: you write in English, and your elders switch the whole invitation to Bengali with one tap, buttons, RSVP form and menu included. The price has no expiry date: £17.99/month or £159 once for lifetime access, $19.99/month or $189 in the US.

VerdictWhich app should you use?

It depends on what you're optimising for:

If you only need a beautiful image for the family groups or the printer, Canva or Celebrare will do it. The counting stays with you.

Paperless Post, Joy and Bridebook take RSVPs, which is a big step up. None of them mentions Bengali, and none describes a separate answer for each event with a link per guest group.

If you want one invitation that covers the whole week, counts each event separately and hands those counts to your seating plan and caterer, The Private Wedding App's per-event RSVP was built for it. For the words themselves, read bilingual Bengali and English wedding invitation wording, or go straight to pricing and the free trial.

01What should a Bangladeshi wedding invitation app do?

Cover the whole week, not one card. This list is what The Private Wedding App does, and you can check every line with your own wedding details on the free trial.

  • One private link that always shows the latest details
  • RSVP inside the invitation, not in a chat
  • A separate answer for each event
  • Party size, with children and infants counted separately
  • Meal choice and allergies
  • A link per guest group, so walima-only guests see only the walima
  • A printed card with a QR code for elders who prefer paper

02Why not just send the card image on WhatsApp?

Because an image cannot answer back. Replies arrive in three different phones, someone copies them into a notebook, and the day the banqueting hall moves your reception by an hour, the old image is still circulating. A link updates when you save, and every answer is already counted.

In the app: the digital invitation keeps the same link while you edit, so guests always see the current version.

An image shows the wedding. A link also counts the replies.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Bangladeshi wedding invitation with RSVP?

The Private Wedding App (£17.99/month or £159 once for lifetime access, $19.99/month or $189 in the US): one invitation link for the gaye holud, nikah, walima and reception, a separate RSVP for each event, and a link per guest group. Canva and Celebrare make card images and videos without RSVP; Paperless Post, Joy and Bridebook take RSVPs but do not mention Bengali.

Can guests RSVP separately for the gaye holud and the walima?

Yes, in The Private Wedding App each event has its own yes or no, and your guest list shows a separate count for each event, so the holud caterer and the walima hall each get their own number.

Do I need separate invitations for the nikah and the walima?

No. One invitation holds every event, and each guest group's link shows only the events that group is invited to, with the schedule and info to match.

Can my grandparents read the invitation in Bengali?

Bengali is one of the 26 guest languages: you write in English, and your elders switch the whole invitation to Bengali with one tap, buttons, RSVP form and menu included.

How do I invite guests who do not use smartphones?

Print the QR card from the builder's QR print card tab, in your invitation's design. A grandchild scans it with any phone camera and the full invitation opens; the RSVP still lands in your list.

How much does it cost in pounds?

£17.99 a month, or £159 once for lifetime access that never renews, with unlimited guests and every event included. 3-day free trial.
