A text message reaches every phone. Not every guest uses WhatsApp, and older relatives often read their texts long before they open an email. Sending invitations via text puts your wedding in front of everyone the same day.
With The Private Wedding App, the text carries a link to your interactive invitation: your names, the schedule, the venue map, the dress code and the RSVP. Guests tap it, answer in the invitation, and their reply lands in your guest list. No printing, no postage, and no answers lost in a dozen chats.
Import your guest list with phone numbers, or add them guest by guest. If guests are invited to different parts of the day, put them in invite groups such as Day or Evening only.
Open the Send by SMS card on your guest list and pick who gets the text: all guests, one invite group, or guests with no group. Write your message. Your names open the text automatically (for example "Elisabeth & Alexis: ..."), the sender name guests see is WeddingApp, and the card shows exactly what guests receive and how many messages it uses before you send.
Each guest receives the link for their own group, so they only see their events. Guests already texted are skipped unless you tick Also guests I already texted, and two guests sharing a number get one text. Closer to the date, tick Only guests who have not replied to send a reminder to pending guests only, and use it as your wedding RSVP text message.
WhatsApp: a free button next to each guest opens their chat with your invitation link typed, sent from your own WhatsApp. Best when your guests live on WhatsApp and you want a personal line per guest.
SMS: one send texts every guest their own link, for guests with UK or European numbers. It is an optional one-time message pack per wedding, 500 messages for 49 EUR / 49 GBP / 39 USD.
